IT'S THE MOST {* WONDERFUL *} TIME OF THE YEAR!
I cannot help but SMILE that today is December 1st.
{*I just like to smile, smiling's my favorite!*}
I really love everything about this time of year. I even tolerate colder weather...although, I will savor these warmer temps up north a while longer :) ...But I don't hate a white Christmas!
Let's jump into my December Edition of My 5 Favorites.
Winter/colder weather tends to beat up the skin on my face...but I recently ordered "The Fat Stick" and I LOVE it! It's made with awesome REAL ingredients (Tallows, Butters, + Oils) and combines Lavendar + Peppermint for a delicious smell. Typically I don't jive well with lavendar, but this combo does the trick!
My large food processor is amazing for SO many recipes, but sometimes it is a hassle to get out the whole gadget and clean all the pieces. . .especially when I cook for ONE! This manual food processor is AWESOME!
Throw in a few steamed cauliflower, a few handle pumps, and you have yourself some cauliflower rice! Also great for chopping veggies for homemade salsa or guacamole. And so easy to clean.
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may have seen that my girlfriends and I launched a new podcast "The Ladies Dish" on November 24th. I've been getting such positive feedback about our first couple episodes and had to include to get the word out there! My heart is SO happy to hear that you are all loving it :) If you have a question, please visit theladiesdish.com or comment on our instagram page @theladiesdish. We would love to help you out!
This is time sensitive, but I am IN LOVE with this Say It, Sweat It, Get It challenge run by Erin Stutland. Today, December 1st, is the 2nd day. It aligns exactly with my current interests: mantras and movement. Check it out: http://shrinksessionworkout.com/.
I always try to give back throughout the year, but it does seem to pull at my heartstrings a little more around the holidays. Maybe because I am able to spend time with family members and enjoy delicious, homemade food . . .and I am reminded that not everyone is so fortunate.
Helping struggling Americans is very important to me. Just because Americans have access to so much does not mean that everyone has so much. Teaching really opened my eyes to the struggles of many households in our own backyard. Donate to the food banks, volunteer at a soup kitchen. . . just try to give back a little more this year <3
